About Me

What's up! I'm Katie. I'm a graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theatre Arts Acting BFA Program. For convenience, let's say I'm from Seattle, because nobody's heard of the town I'm actually from and they're close enough.  Now I'm based in New York City and Seattle which means, in the immortal words of Hannah Montana, that I get the best of both worlds.

Actor Stuff: Most recently, I played Lily in The Skriker, Delia Dumont's Columbia MFA Directing Thesis. You can see me in The History of Sound on Mubi and in Some Body/Any Body, a short film I co-wrote and co-produced currently playing in festivals. I voice Dawn in Matt Bollinger's painted animation installation Dawn. More credits: FEMM (Columbia University) Measure for Measure (Columbia University), The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again] (Methexis Productions), Twelfth Night (Purchase Repertory Theatre), Little Lina (The Chain), The Secondhand Movie (The PIT).

Writer Stuff: I'm currently developing my next full length play, an adaptation of Alcestis called Dead Meat, with One Year Lease theatre company. Aquarium premiered in the Chain Summer One Act Festival (2025) and Blood Grudge premiered in Write Club's Summer Playfest (2025). The web series I created with my writing partner, Gracie Guichard, is going into production summer of 2026.

Outside of acting, I'm an avid hiker, Pokémon enthusiast, tea lover, ex betta fish keeper, sub-par crafter, board game shark, and bookworm. I live with my twin brother and frequent artistic collaborator Jeff Parkinson. Check out his website here: https://jeffcparkinson.com/
