Actor based in NYC

Hi! I'm Katie. I'm a graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theatre Arts Acting BFA Program. For convenience, let's say I'm from Seattle, because nobody's heard of the town I'm actually from and they're close enough.
Now I'm a New York based Actor, Writer, and Improvisor with a permanent couch to crash on in the Seattle area. I live with my twin brother and frequent artistic collaborator Jeff Parkinson. He's an MFA Acting candidate at Columbia University.
Most recently, I played Lily in The Skriker, Delia Dumont's Columbia MFA Directing Thesis. You can see me in The History of Sound in theaters now and in Some Body/Any Body, a short film I co-wrote and co-produced currently playing in festivals. More credits: Measure for Measure (Columbia University), The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again] (Methexis Productions), Twelfth Night (Purchase Repertory Theatre), Little Lina (The Chain), The Secondhand Movie (The PIT).
Oh and also! Two of my plays premiered in NYC this summer; Aquarium premiered as part of the 2025 Chain Summer One Act Festival and Blood Grudge premiered as part of Write Club's Summer Playfest. I'm currently developing my next full length play, an adaptation of Alcestis called Dead Meat with support from One Year Lease.
Outside of acting, I'm an avid hiker, Pokémon enthusiast, tea lover, ex betta fish keeper, sub-par crafter, board game shark, and bookworm.
